About Us

SAMA 82 began its existence on April 2nd 1997 on the fifteenth anniversary of the invasion of the Falkland Islands by Argentine forces.

Remembrance

SAMA 82 organises and circulates information on Services of Commemoration and Remembrance to the fallen of the Falklands Conflict.

Membership of SAMA 82

SAMA 82 forms a community to all those involved in the Falklands Conflict including next of kin of those killed in action.

Falklands Conflict 1982

The Falklands conflict took place between April and June 1982 in response to the invasion of the Falklands Islands by the Argentinian forces

The South Atlantic Medal Association 1982

The South Atlantic Medal Association (1982) was formed by veterans of the Falklands conflict with the aim of maintaining and promoting a sense of pride and comradeship among all involved in the South Atlantic campaign
